Disney and Drawing (Grades JK-4th)
Join 1st grade teacher, Mandy Beach, for an afternoon of Disney and drawing. Discover the origin of some of the favorite characters and leave each day with a canvas masterpiece for your art collection.

Bearcat Lego Camp (Grades JK-4th)
Join Kindergarten teacher, Adam Wilkinson, for this dynamic session of lego building challenges. Each day there will be a new set of parameters for building—sometimes in teams, sometimes solo—to design and build with bricks. Examples of challenges are "The Tallest Building in Ten Minutes," "Robots Reimagined," and "Super Duper Spaceships." If you are a builder this class is for you!

Creative Play Fun! (Grades K-4th)
Think… play, design, architecture, math, art, building, cooking, creating, exploring the imagination all wrapped into one camp. Sounds fun, right? Mrs. Williams and Mrs. V.H. will facilitate lots of outdoor exploration with loose parts to foster kids' natural creativity and “hands on learning.” Picture “Monet meets rocks, flowers, and sticks!”

Games Galore (Grades JK-4th)
Join Coach Vertrees for a variety of games including dodgeball, bowling, sharks and minnows, gaga ball, and capture the flag. We'll have water balloon battles and play with the parachute. Campers need to dress comfortably for play and wear tennis shoes. A daily snack will be provided.

Think Ahead Chess Camp (Grades 1st-8th)
Spend the week with Think Ahead Chess and learn the game of Kings! Discuss tactical blows such as pins, forks, skewers and removing the guard. Spend time focusing on World Champions, Endgame maneuvers, openings and the 50 deadly checkmates. Puzzles and chess brainteasers will engage students at all playing levels. At the end of the week, students will participate in a camp tournament where a champion will be crowned! All participants receive a chess set and certificate of achievement. Beginners and advanced chess players are encouraged to attend.

Come join Mr. Wilkinson this summer, unleash your child’s creativity at the most colorful place around—Play Dough Camp! Over 5 days, campers will squish, roll, and sculpt play dough to their heart’s content Your budding artist will enjoy: Learning beginner sculpture techniques with play dough, creating fun take-home crafts like play dough jewelry, building their own tools and molds for unique designs, inventing new play dough recipes like glitter dough, themed building challenges & play dough games. The possibilities are endless when imagination takes the lead!

A woodworking course for any experience/skill-level. Students will choose a small project to make from wood using both hand tools and power tools. At the end of the week, students will bring home their finished project. Fee includes all materials needed. Wear closed-toe shoes and clothes you can paint in.

Calling all explorers! Join Coach Sample for a week of exploring our beautiful 85 acre campus here at KCD! Each day we will explore campus while enjoying the beautiful summer weather. In an event of inclement weather, we will be inside in a Lower School Classroom. Please bring a water bottle, tennis shoes, and a snack to camp each day.
