Open House

Explore KCD’s Middle & Upper Schools

Mark your calendars for our annual Open House on Thursday, November 12, 2026. This evening admissions event is designed to give families an opportunity to learn about KCD’s Middle and Upper Schools.

UPPER SCHOOL (9-12):

Bearcat Chats

These events are open to 7th- and 8th-grade parents and guardians, both current and prospective. Parents and guardians will hear from Head of School Deena Carey and Upper School Director Kent Martin, who will give an overview of the school community and academic offerings. Light refreshments will be provided, and the event will end with group tours hosted by current students. All families will need to register for these events.

Interested in getting an inside look at KCD? Sign up for a Bearcat Chat! 
 
Our Middle School Bearcat Chats are designed for parents and guardians of current 3rd–7th graders. At the Bearcat Chat, you will have the opportunity to hear from our Head of School, Deena Carey, Middle School Director, Jerry Loewen, and then take a guided tour through our beautiful campus where you'll visit classrooms and interact with students. In-person Bearcat Chats take place from 9:00-10:30 am and begin in KCD's Middle School Library. Please enter campus at KCD's main entrance at the Meriwether STEAM Academic Center.
