In accordance with Gov. Beshear's executive order on November 18, KCD will be in Bearcat Remote Education (BRE) from Nov. 23 to Jan. 4.

Lower School will resume in-person instruction before January 4 provided that Jefferson County is no longer in a Red Zone (more than 25 cases of COVID-19 per 100,000 residents).

Once students are able to return to campus, the guidelines and procedures on this page will be used to create a safe learning environment for students.
Thank you for considering Kentucky Country Day School. We’re the home of a dynamic community of 800 students engaged in an outstanding program that ranges from rigorous academics to fine arts and athletics.

Although KCD is currently in remote education, we are happy to welcome prospective families to our campus, either through in-person visits and tours or through our virtual visits. In-person tours will be offered during the school day by appointment. So that we can maintain a safe school environment, we are asking prospective families to follow the guidelines below:

  1. Tours may be scheduled online or by phone; we are not able to accommodate drop-ins.
  2. Families are required to wear masks; gloves are optional.
  3. The admissions team will practice social distancing during tours, and we ask our visitors to do the same.
  4. When you check in at the admission office, we will do a temperature check. If you have a fever, we will ask you to reschedule for another time.
  5. Please cancel your tour if you are feeling ill or have a fever.

We believe that KCD will provide your child with an extraordinary educational experience. Please contact us at any time at 502-814-4309 or for more information or to set up a visit with our admission staff.
