  • Congratulations to Searcy Lotz ’25 on being a recipient of a 2025 Jamie Parsley Family Foundation Scholarship! This scholarship honors the memory of Jamie Parsley (KCD Class of 2003) who was killed by a drunk driver just before her senior year. Jamie excelled academically and athletically, had achieved great things in her life, and made a positive impact on our community. She chose to live her life by the highest standards. It is the hope of the Parsley Family that the recipients of this scholarship will do the same and go on to make the world a little brighter ... we know Searcy will do just that!

  • This year we are proud to announce that four students from the class of 2026 have been selected to participate in the Governor’s Scholars Program (GSP). Help us congratulate Jackson Easley, Evan Smith, Caden Wang, and Peter Zhang on this exciting achievement!

GSP’s mission is to “enhance Kentucky’s next generation of civic and economic leaders.” Established in 1983, the program provides academic and personal growth through the balance of a strong liberal arts program with a full co-curricular and residential life experience. GSP is a highly-competitive state-wide program.

  • Please join us on April 15 for the official opening of the new Parsley Pavilion. 💙💛

This campus addition marks the final phase of the Create Together Campaign. The facility includes a concession stand, patron restrooms, three locker rooms, and a press box for Michael Field.

The new pavilion will carry forward the Parsley name in memory of Jamie E. Parsley, a beloved Kentucky Country Day scholar, athlete, and member of the KCD Class of 2003, who was tragically killed by a drunk driver prior to her senior (and 13th) year at KCD. We want to thank the Parsley Family and all of the generous donors who made the project possible.

Refreshments and a ribbon cutting will occur at 5:00 pm, before the Varsity Girls Lacrosse game against CAL.

  • Congratulations to KCD first grader Samir Salem ’36 on an incredible performance at the US Chess Super Nationals tournament earlier this month! ♟️ Thousands of the top players from around the country gathered in Orlando, FL to compete in the tournament. Of the 50 competitors from Kentucky, Samir was the only player to medal—placing 20th out of 400+ players in his division! He is now ranked in the top 100 in the world for chess for age 7 and under. Way to go, Samir!
