KCDate FAQs

List of 8 items.

  • When is KCDate?

KCDate 2024: Hollywood took place Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 6 pm in KCD's Gardner Gymnasium.
  • Why should I attend KCDate?

Because it’s fun! This is a great way to get to know members of the KCD community while supporting the school in a positive way. Food will be served buffet style and seating will be casual (no assigned tables or seats). You can gather with friends old and new around a seated 10 top or enjoy your meal casually at a high-top pub table.
  • How can I help?

There are lots of ways to help, big and small.

You can donate an item. Specific needs include but are not limited to: gift cards to restaurants and shops, home goods, unique experiences, tickets to sporting events, shows or concerts, bottles of bourbon, and vacation homes.

Additionally, you can help by becoming a sponsor, attending the event, and encouraging others to do the same. There are some amazing raffles and auction items, so please spread the word to friends and family. The auction will be online, so anyone, anywhere can participate!
  • Who is invited to KCDate?

All KCD parents, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends. Due to the fact that there will be alcohol present at the event, students are not invited to attend.
  • What is the attire?

The theme is Hollywood so think, “A night at the movies” when getting ready. Whether that means going to the Oscars or going out to Tinseltown—that’s entirely up to you! Or if you're feeling really creative, dress as your favorite movie star or character. Most importantly, wear what’s most comfortable for you!

  • Why does KCD need to fundraise?

Like most not-for-profit private schools, tuition does not fully cover the cost of a KCD education. In order to make up the difference the Board of Trustees establishes an annual fundraising goal as a part of the school’s budget. This year our goal is to raise $220,000 through KCDate and $440,000 through donations to the One Fund.
