Summer Math Practice
Middle schoolers are encouraged to do a little math over the summer! Rising 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders can find fun math resources and challenges at bit.ly/KCDsummermath. The department’s summer math packets are also available on this page.

Chromebooks

School Supplies
This year, KCD has chosen to partner with School Tool Box for our Middle School supplies. This gives families the opportunity to order pre-packaged school supplies for the next school year. Each supply box matches your approved list, and you can add extras or remove items you don’t need. Supplies will ship directly to your home.
Ordering Textbooks
Textbooks for the 2026-27 academic year will soon be available for purchase. Go to this link to access our online bookstore: KCD Online Bookstore with MBS. You can also go to www.mbsdirect.net and enter Kentucky Country Day School as the school name. Parents of students in grades 5–12 will receive an email from Amy Mendel, Assistant Head of School, in late June announcing the bookstore launch and outlining the ordering process. Please review this information carefully before ordering your books.
Middle School PE Attire
PE athletic attire is optional for Middle School students. Students may wear school clothing that adheres to our dress code to PE classes, so long as they are able to fully participate in PE activities. Students are expected to participate in every PE class regardless of their attire.
Students may change clothes in the locker rooms or in the middle school bathrooms immediately before PE classes begin.
