"Play it Forward" Sports Equipment Drive collects nearly 200 items for Unity House

Upper School students Shaan Bains ’25 and Adam Dockstader ’25 recently established a nonprofit organization called "Play it Forward." This week, these Bearcat stewards led a campus-wide Sports Equipment Drive to collect new or gently used sporting items like cleats, balls, tennis rackets, helmets and more, for children in need of these resources.

Thanks to the generosity of the Bearcat community, and Shaan and Adam's efforts, we were able to collect nearly 200 pieces of equipment! All items will be donated to Unity House—a shelter where many JCPS students live.
