Math Team places 1st in Greater Louisville Math League

Congratulations to the KCD Math Team on another phenomenal year of competition in the Greater Louisville Math League (GLML)! The Bearcats—who placed first in division 1, and with the highest score in the entire league, placed first overall—were honored at the GLML Banquet on the evening of Tuesday, April 25, in the KCD Theater. 
Additionally, students who placed in the top 6 for their individual category were recognized at the banquet and received medals.

Medalists include:
  • Daniel Bronfman ’23 – 1st place for 12th grade in division 1
  • Emaan Sayied ’23 – 2nd place for 12th grade in division 1
  • Ryan Schuering ’24 – 2nd place for 11th grade in division 1
  • Aria Mohammadi ’24 – 6th place for 11th grade in division 1
  • Bright Zheng ’25 – 1st place for 10th grade in division 1 & 1st place for 10th grade overall!
  • Derock Xie ’25 – 3rd place for 10th grade in division 1
  • Peter Zhang ’26 – 1st place for 9th grade in division 1 & 1st place for 9th grade overall!
  • Grace Shen ’26 – 2nd place for 9th grade in division 1 & 2nd place for 9th grade overall!
  • Caden Wang ’26 – 5th place for 9th grade in division 1
