KCD DECA regional and state success
We are so proud of the KCD DECA chapter for their success at the recent regional and state competitions. The group won two major awards—first place for biggest increase of a chapter in the region and third place for biggest chapter in the region!
Individually, Katie Vonder Haar ’24 and Caroline Hutchins ’24 scored 5th place (out of 25) in the Innovation Plan category, Hailey Hertzman ’24 and Dylan Yonover ’24 scored 4th place in Sports Entertainment Operations, and Elle Lenihan ’24 and Dylan scored 2nd place in DECA at the Bell.
Katie and Hailey placed high enough to continue to the International Finals in Orlando, FL next month where they will have the opportunity to compete against 10,000+ students from North America!
DECA is an organization that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.
