Cross Country regional success; girls place 1st, boys 3rd

Congratulations to our Varsity Bearcat Cross Country teams on their amazing performances at the Regional Meet on Saturday, October 22 at Creasy Mahon Preserve. 
The Varsity Girls team placed first in the Regional Meet for the third consecutive year! This win qualifies the team for the State Meet. Seven athletes helped advance the team: Ava Hurwitz, Avani Singal, Briah Hawker, Haley Schoenegge, Maddox Miller, Mya Collins, and Natalie Hayden. Among these seven athletes, several placed in the top-ten for overall finishes: Ava Hurwitz placed fourth (22:35), Maddox Miller placed second (21:26), and Haley Schoenegge was the Regional Champion (19:39)! 

The Varsity Boys team placed third in the Regional Meet, also qualifying for the State Meet! Eight athletes helped advance the boys team: Adam Dockstader, Caden Wang, Gage Fackler, Hugh Kuffner, Jake Figa, Ryan Shaps, Tyler Herman, and Zack Kassie. Among these eight athletes, one placed in the top-ten for overall finishes: Ryan Shaps placed fourth with a time of 17:44.

The State Meet will be held at the Bourbon Course in Paris, Kentucky on Saturday, October 29. Good luck, Bearcats!
