Katie Vonder Haar ’24 and team place first in GSE "Demo Days" competition

Over the summer, Katie Vonder Haar ’24 participated in the highly competitive Governor’s School for Entrepreneurs (GSE) program. GSE is a three-week program that “identifies and enables Kentucky high school students to become our Commonwealth's next generation of entrepreneurs.”
We are proud to share that Katie and her team placed first in the session 2 “Demo Days” competition for their pitch! Their project “Pivot Parking” received $1,000 for the development of a parking service solution using radio-frequency identification (RFID) chips to notify users which parking spots are free and which are not in a garage or large lot.
