Rosetta Lee leads DEI sessions with KCD faculty

Before the students joined us back on campus for the start of the 2022-23 school year, teaching and non-teaching faculty had the wonderful opportunity to engage in meaningful professional development programming during our in-service days. 
Rosetta Eun Ryong Lee, educator and professional outreach specialist for the Seattle Girls' School, led multiple sessions with around Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion with KCD faculty. 

Sessions included:
  • Talking to Young People about Sensitive, Complicated & Heated Topics (all teaching and non-teaching faculty)
  • Inclusion in the Early Years (for Lower School faculty)
  • Practical Steps Toward Inclusive Classrooms (for Middle, Upper, and non-teaching faculty)
We are so grateful for the meaningful conversations that were sparked from these sessions which will help us further apply and live out our mission and inclusive values as a community.
