Congratulations to the 14 students, listed below, who are being presented for initiation into Mu Alpha Theta, a national high school honor society. It is an honor to be selected for membership in this organization, which has over 1,800 chapters across the United States and in many foreign countries.
The requirements for induction include work and service done with distinction in college preparatory mathematics, including 10 hours of math related service, a B+ math average, and current enrollment in Algebra II or a higher-level math course.
This is the second year for Mu Alpha Theta at KCD, and we currently have 21 students who have met all the requirements. This group completed over 300 total hours of math-related service and finished in the top 20 nationally in the Log1 math contest!
Current members who retained their membership were Kyra Anderson, Grace Bagga, Hannah Khan, Heeba Nazeer, Lilly Papalia, Lauren Rawson, and Eddy Zhong. New members include Daniel Greenberg, Grace Halbleib, Amani Ikram, Ayaan Jabbar, Zahra Khan, Mahmoud Kutmah, David Lai, Raina Mahajan, Ameer Maya, Taylor Parker, Emily Rawson, Caden Schuessler, Nicole Wei, and Steven Zhang.
