Congratulations to the KCD MathCounts team, who finished second out of 20 teams at the Louisville regional competition on February 17. Middle schoolers Amy Suo, Logan Purkiss, Sarisha Lohano, Sandhya Lohano, Daniel Bronfman, Emaan Sayied, Avani Singhal, Evan Davis, and Adam Hetman competed for KCD.
Amy Suo finished in the top 8 in the Sprint round and 9th overall, qualifying her for the Countdown Round. Amy won all three rounds to become our region’s Countdown champion! Logan Purkiss was KCD’s other top-ten competitor, finishing in 7th place.
Amy, Logan, Daniel Bronfman, and Emaan Sayied will make up the KCD team that will compete at the state championship on March 24. This is the 8th year in a row that a KCD team has qualified for state!
