Boys Varsity Basketball Assistant Coach
Kentucky Country Day School (KCD) is seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, and committed assistant coach for our Varsity Boys Basketball team for the upcoming 2025–2026 season.

As part of our athletic program, we aim to foster a culture of teamwork, resilience, sportsmanship, and personal growth. As a JK–12 independent school with a rich tradition of academic and athletic excellence, we’re committed to developing the whole child. Our coaches are mentors, role models, and educators who make a lasting impact on our student-athletes.
Responsibilities include:
- Planning and conducting age-appropriate practices that emphasize fundamentals, teamwork, and character development
- Teaching and reinforcing the values of respect, integrity, and responsibility aligned with KCD’s mission
- Collaborating with fellow coaches and the Athletic Department to ensure consistency and continuity across the basketball program
- Communicating effectively with student-athletes and families about expectations, schedules, and team progress
- Creating a positive, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate environment for student-athletes
Qualifications:
- Prior coaching and/or playing experience in basketball required
- Strong ability to teach fundamental skills and foster character development
- Passion for working with high school students and contributing to their overall well-being
- Must be available for practices after school and weekend games during the season
- Background check and CPR certification required prior to employment
