Meteorologist visits our eighth grade scientists

On September 26, WLKY meteorologist Matt Milosevich stopped by to talk with eighth grade students about weather and forecasting. The visit complemented an eighth grade science project in which students have been forecasting weather at a Fall Break destination of their choice. Students have been learning about weather patterns and forecasting models and have been studying the October climates of their destinations. As a culmination to the project, students will use what they have learned to produce a weather forecast video for their Fall Break destinations using a green screen. Teacher Jackie Glass said that students learned a lot from Mr. Milosevich’s presentation and that it was great for them to see a real meteorologist talk about the topics they have been studying.
