Library renovation creates welcoming, flexible space for 21st century learning
This summer, the Robertson Library underwent a renovation that gave the space a much-needed update. In addition to a fresh coat of paint and a new entrance, we've added more inviting furniture and shelving to create a welcoming environment that promotes 21st century teaching and learning. Seating and workspaces can be easily configured to accommodate both small group work and individual study spaces, depending upon the needs of students and teachers.
“We were able to convert the space into an open and inviting area that more closely aligns with the literacy needs of the 21st century learner,” said Head Librarian Beth Conroy. “We've added soft-seating, tables and chairs, an interactive whiteboard, and computer spaces that are designed to encourage collaboration. On the lower school side, we’ve added a magnetic poetry board, a vertical Lego wall, and upholstered seating that turns the courtyard windows into cozy reading space. We’ve also worked hard to make the library collection more streamlined and relevant to our curricular needs."

This renovation was made possible by the generosity of our Fund a Need donors at Trivia Night last year. We’d like to extend our appreciation and thanks to these donors:
