Sixth grade Spanish students sample world cuisine

Last week, sixth graders in Julie Riggs-Johnson’s Spanish classes sampled dishes from all over the Spanish-speaking world. Each student researched a recipe and other food facts from a Spanish-speaking country and created a recipe page for a class cookbook. Each student was responsible for preparing their dish and bringing it in for the class to enjoy. Ms. Riggs-Johnson noted that it was exciting for the students to get to taste food from all over the Spanish-speaking world. “This is the most fun day of the year in Spanish class for my students!” she said.
