Terrific ‘Spamalot’ production offers medieval humor, coconuts
Congratulations to directors John Jay and Rachel Bradley and to the cast and crew of the upper school production of Spamalot, who delivered a polished and hilarious series of shows last weekend. This impressive production was conceived, organized, and run entirely by upper school students.
US drama teacher and director Kate Scinta was proud of the job these students did in putting the show together. “When people in the community ask me what makes KCD unique, one of the things I mention is the US student musical! This year’s Spamalot, under the co-direction of senior John Jay and junior Rachel Bradley, with music direction by junior Jake Latts, was outstanding! The clever staging and musical numbers and, in particular, the hilarious comedy in this production showed that KCD music and drama students have the knowledge and skills to produce great theatre! I’m so very proud of their attention to detail as well as their camaraderie!”
