Coach McAnulty honored for 300 wins

The Bearcat community had a lot to celebrate on Wednesday, March 23. Not only did we break in our brand new turf field, but we also honored Coach Patrick McAnulty for achieving his 300th win!
On Saturday, March 19, 2022, McAnulty earned his 300th career victory when the varsity girls lacrosse team defeated Ballard High School, 19-2.

McAnulty has coached 37 total seasons for our athletics program—primarily in girls lacrosse and field hockey. “He has worked tirelessly to establish a true dynasty in girls lacrosse despite the comparatively small size of this school,” stated Amy Elliott, KCD’s Athletic Director.

With a career winning percentage of 81%, McAnulty has led the Bearcats to 13 consecutive State Championship girls lacrosse games (from 2006-2018); the team has brought home the State Championship title eight times (2008, 2010, 2012, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2021).

McAnulty is a four time KCD Booster Club Coach of the Year (2006, 2011, 2015, 2018), three time Kentucky Scholastic Lacrosse League Coach of the Year (2014, 2018, 2021), and two time Kentucky Lacrosse Association Coach of the Year (2006, 2010).
