Faculty-In-Service was held August 9-10. In-service featured divisional and departmental meetings, introductions of new faculty to the KCD community, as well as several community building activities.
Head of School Peter Huestis led an activity around the acronym HEART: honesty, effort, attitude, respect, and trust. With this, he encouraged all faculty members to implement these qualities to build valuable relationships within the KCD community. Additionally, DEI Director, James Racine, led a full-faculty session on empathy. In this session, teaching and non-teaching faculty paired up and practiced listening to one another.
