Aqua Bearcats finish strong at regionals; Coulter breaks school record

Congratulations to the boys and girls Aqua Bearcats for their outstanding performances at their regional meet last weekend. A host of Bearcats qualified for the state swim meet in individual events and relays. A big congratulations goes to Katie Coulter who broke a 40-year school record in the 200 Freestyle! Katie swam a time of 1:58.38, breaking Lydia Plamp Brownlow’s record of 1:59.33.
Coach Aaron Greene commented on Katie’s record-breaking performance. “While most people may not know this, KCD swimming school records are hard to come by. Our school has a history of fast swimmers, so breaking one of our school records is an awesome accomplishment. We are very proud of Katie Coulter for breaking the 200 Freestyle school record!"
