Visiting speaker leads student session on Black history
This February, students in grades 8–12 engaged in an exciting and thought-provoking session around Black history. This workshop incorporated a lot of data, but also unpacked how our history has impacted our communities today. Students explored this history not only from a national perspective, but also on a local level as well. This lecture was extremely interactive and was facilitated by Jecorey Arthur, who is a professor at Simmons College of Kentucky as well as a Louisville City Council member.
