DEI office presents ‘Engaging in Difficult Conversations’ with Liza Talusan
The KCD Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is sponsoring a virtual session with speaker Liza Talusan on Monday, March 15 at 6:00 pm. Dr. Talusan will cover the topic “Engaging in Difficult Conversations.”
As parents and caregivers, we often walk a thin line between wanting to prepare our children for difficult conversations and waiting for them to bring up topics of interest. Yet, more and more, we are faced with issues in our communities that invite us to reassess this line. How do we as parents and caregivers engage, sustain, and deepen conversations with our children, our family members, and our peers about issues in our communities? Join Dr. Liza Talusan, a nationally recognized facilitator and educator, as we come together as a community to build skills for difficult conversations together. This session is virtual and interactive. Click here to join the meeting on Zoom.
