Bearcat football makes history with state title bid
For the first time in school history, the Bearcat football team will compete for the Class 1A state title! The Bearcats defeated the Williamsburg Yellow Jackets 27-7 on Friday to earn their spot in the state finals. The Bearcats kept their game on the ground offensively on Friday night, with a solid defense holding the Yellow Jackets to a single touchdown. Click here to read the Courier-Journal’s coverage.
The Bearcats will take on Paintsville on Friday, December 18, at 11:00 am at Kroger Field in Lexington. As Mr. Huestis announced yesterday, there will be no classes on Friday, December 18 so that faculty, students, and parents are able to go to Lexington to support the team—safely and responsibly, of course. The game will also be streamed live via the NFHS Network, so please tune in if you aren't able to attend in person. Go Bearcats!
