Breaking from tradition, Bearcats find new ways to honor veterans
On November 11, students and faculty at KCD celebrated and recognized veterans in a number of Veterans Day activities. With all of the regulations in place during the current pandemic, the traditional all-school assembly was not possible. Instead, each division came up with their own way to honor our veterans on this special day.
The Lower School celebrated with a red, white, and blue day where students wore our country’s colors with pride. Students also reflected on their freedoms with a schoolwide writing activity. The middle school and upper school both held a socially distanced assembly outdoors to honor and recognize our veterans. The KCD Upper School chorale performed “The Star-Spangled Banner” during the upper school assembly.
