Seventh grade Euro Project creates connections across disciplines

On March 13, seventh graders wowed the faculty with their Euro Project presentations. For the last eight weeks, seventh graders have been hard at work on this interdisciplinary, collaborative project that ties together English, math, geography, and art.
Each group worked together to create an Olympic bid for a European country. Students worked to understand their country’s GDP and economic indicators; produced a website; learned to use green screen technology; filmed, produced, and edited video commercials; fashioned incredible, original works of art in their Olympic mascots; blogged about their reflections; learned how to function in and as a group; and much more!

Congratulations to all of the seventh graders on their excellent work on this robust project. Check out this website with links to every team’s project.
