KCD Football Donation Drive collects over 1,000 items for Ronald McDonald House Charities
KCD football’s second Super Bowl Donation Drive was a tremendous success, collecting well over 1,000 household and food items from families in all three divisions to support the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentuckiana. A Super Bowl champ was chosen by a narrow margin: the Kansas City Chiefs won the popular vote.
KCD varsity football coach Matt Jones would like to thank the entire KCD community, from JK to 12th grade, including teachers, coaches, and administrators, for stepping up to help this wonderful charity, which serves hundreds of ill children and their families seeking medical treatment in Louisville each year. We are so grateful for the amazing generosity shown by KCD’s community at all levels!
Several varsity football players, coaches, and parents will deliver the items (about 25 boxes!) to the Ronald McDonald House on Thursday, February 6, after school.
Thanks again to all who supported and assisted with this project. Please mark your calendars for next year: we are already planning the third annual KCD Football Super Bowl Donation Drive and Dress Down Day for January 2021.
