Congratulations to the boys and girls swim teams, who had outstanding performances at the All A Invitational swim meet on Saturday, January 11. The boys team finished third overall, and girls team finished first! The combined team score was second overall—just 10 points away from 1st place.
There were some outstanding individual and relay performances to highlight this meet as well. Emma Coulter finished first in the 500 free, Cora Martin finished first in the 200 IM and 100 fly, and the relay team of Cate Coartney, Liana Renard, Cora Martin, and Emma Coulter placed first in the 200 medley relay.
Coach Kinney was pleased with how our Bearcats competed against some of the best Class A schools from around the state. “There are 25 Class A schools in the state of Kentucky,” he said. “Fifteen of them have swim teams, and eleven of those teams were at this meet. This is a great indicator on how we measure up to similar-sized schools.”
