MS fall sports teams dominate on the field

Our middle school fall teams turned in strong performances all season long, with several winning league championships.

The 5th/6th field hockey team defeated South Oldham in the finals of the sixth grade division of the Jefferson County Public School League Tournament. The game went to a 10-minute 7 vs. 7 sudden victory overtime, with the Bearcats scoring with 2:11 left to seal the victory. The team had a record of 10-0-2, including 10 shutouts during the season. They outscored their opponents 38-3.

The 5th/6th football team went undefeated thanks to great contributions from all of the players on the team. The football Bearcats won their league championship this week with a hard-fought win over Eminence.

The middle school soccer teams had another outstanding season. The A and B teams both won their respective tournament championships with wins over Collegiate, an opponent the A team defeated three times this season. KCD has won both middle school soccer division brackets 9 out of the last 10 years!

Congrats to all of our middle school players and coaches for representing KCD so well.

Go Bearcats!
