Parents share their experiences growing up in Europe
On March 28, Maksim and Veronika Pisaryk, parents of Christopher ’28, spoke to Ms. Kettring’s third graders about life in Belarus, a country in Eastern Europe. Both parents were born in Minsk, which is the capital of Belarus, and immigrated to the United States.
Mr. and Ms. Pisaryk shared many photos of the cityscapes and landmarks and also talked about the symbolism of the country’s flag. This presentation was part of Ms. Kettring’s class study of Europe.
