Varsity Baseball Head Coach

Kentucky Country Day School is seeking a dedicated, experienced, and relationship-driven Varsity Baseball Head Coach to lead and grow our baseball program.

This position requires a knowledgeable coach who is committed to building a positive, competitive culture rooted in high standards, accountability, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will prioritize the development of student-athletes both on and off the field, emphasizing character, integrity, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage all aspects of the Varsity Baseball program
  • Develop a strong, positive team culture that promotes discipline, effort, and pride
  • Build meaningful relationships with players and families to foster trust and program buy-in
  • Plan and conduct daily practices (beginning at 4:00 pm) and oversee game preparation and strategy
  • Recruit, supervise, and collaborate with assistant coaches to build a cohesive staff
  • Support the growth and development of student-athletes at all levels of the program
  • Oversee and manage the middle school baseball program
  • Uphold and model the values and mission of Kentucky Country Day School
Qualifications:
  • Prior baseball coaching experience (head coaching experience preferred)
  • Deep knowledge of the game and a commitment to player development
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to build a culture centered on accountability, respect, and attention to detail
  • A passion for mentoring student-athletes and building relationships within the school community
  • Availability for afternoon practices and games (beginning at 4:00 pm)
