Lower School JK-4 Music Teacher
KCD has an opening for a general music teacher in its lower school for the 2024-25 school year. The ideal candidate will be passionate about developing creative lessons for young children that are grounded in the Orff Schulwerk approach to teaching and learning. Children in this program will sing, move, play, and create in every lesson. It is expected that such musical learning can culminate in both informal and formal performances throughout the school year. Experience in developing cross-curricular units of study is also a plus. A bachelor’s degree in music education is required along with Orff Schulwerk Level I training. Level II training and a minimum of two years of teaching experience are preferred.
