Jr. Bearcat Football Camp (Grades K-5th)

Calling all Football fans! Join Coach Sample for a fun-filled week on the gridiron! Each day, we will focus on throwing and catching the football, learning Wide Receiver routes, and playing a fun game of one-hand touch football. For gameplay, players will be divided by age groups: JK/K, 1/2, 3/4/5. We will be inside doing a football-related activity in the event of inclement weather. Please bring both cleats and tennis shoes, a snack, and a water bottle.

Pickleball (Grades 4th-8th) 

Do you love pickleball? Whether you are an experienced player or new to the sport, this is the camp for you! During the week, campers will learn all about the game, including rules, scoring, form, and technique, etc. Both singles and doubles games will be played, including mini-tournaments with fun prizes. Other activities include pickleball-related games and opportunities to cool off in the heat with water games and popsicles. Pickleball paddles are provided. Please bring a water bottle, a snack, and dress in athletic clothing.

Cross Country Camp (Grades K-4th)

In this camp, you will learn all about running cross country and track, and how to achieve success in these sports. Athletes will be taught by KCD Upper School’s Head XC Coach Lillian Apple and a varsity XC athlete. From practicing events on the track, like sprints, distance running, relays, hurdles, and more, to learning healthy habits and making nutritional recipes that will fuel your body, you will establish the habits to become the best athlete you can be. This camp will feature running and strength workouts, fun games, yummy snacks, and interactive lessons. Please wear athletic clothes, running shoes, and bring a water bottle.

Splash and Play Summer Camp (Grades K-1st)

Join Mr. Wilkinson and Ms. Falconburg for Splash and Play Summer Camp! This exciting camp for K–1st graders is the perfect way to stay active, make friends, and have a blast in the sun. Campers will enjoy water play, outdoor games, movement activities, and fun challenges designed just for young children. With sprinklers, splash games, and plenty of time to laugh and play, this camp focuses on friendship, creativity, and safe summer fun. Collage and Scrapbook Studio (Grades 2nd-6th)

Join Ms. Miller (Lower School Art) for a week of creative crafting and hands-on fun! In this mixed-media camp, artists will explore colorful papers, stickers, magazines, and introductory printmaking techniques to create imaginative collages and a personalized scrapbook they can treasure.
 
Each artist will receive a blank scrapbook at the start of the week and will fill it with original artwork and designs. All materials and a daily snack are included. Artists are encouraged to bring photos from home to make their scrapbook extra special. This camp is perfect for children who love cutting, gluing, layering materials, and designing pages that tell their own stories.

A Bug’s Life (Grades JK-3rd)

Get ready to crawl, flutter, and explore! Young campers will discover the amazing world of insects and bugs that live all around us. From ants and ladybugs to butterflies and beetles, we will learn how tiny creatures play a big role in nature. Join Ms. Sallaberry for a week of hands-on crafts, science inquiry, outdoor exploration, and imaginative play. We will build bug homes, make colorful wings, go on “bug hunts,” and observe how insects live in their environments. This camp is perfect for young learners who love being outdoors!

Gaga Ball/9-Square (Grades K-4th)

Gaga Ball is a recreational game staple that promotes striking, dodging, and agility while having fun. Campers will play Gaga Ball with their friends as well as build a Gaga Pit on Campus. Campers will be provided a t-shirt and a snack, but should bring their own water bottle. We will also play 9-Square, a recreational game of elevated 4-Square.

Volleyball (Grades 4th-8th)

The Middle School pre-season camp prepares volleyball players for their upcoming season with drills and breakout sessions that focus on core training, footwork patterns, platform/ball control, setting progression, hitting mechanics and strategy, defensive training, team movement patterns, and rotational position responsibilities on the court. Conditioning, strength, and agility exercises will also be incorporated into this camp to help players improve their fitness. Join Coach Whitaker and get yourself prepared and ready for your upcoming volleyball season! Note: Players need their own filled water bottle, knee pads, and a snack each day of camp. Elbow pads and spandex shorts are recommended.

Swiftie Camp (Grades K-4th)

Calling all Swifities! This fun-filled camp is inspired by the music, creativity, and eras of Taylor Swift and is perfect for kids who love to sing, create, and express themselves. Campers will enjoy friendship bracelet making, lyric-inspired art projects, design your own album cover, decorate a microphone or guitar, eras crown or headband craft, lyric art poster, dance parties, and group challenges that celebrate confidence, kindness, and being yourself. We'll mix in teamwork games, light movement, and plenty of creative play to keep everyone engaged and having a blast!

Get ready to squish, shape, and create with Mr. Wilkinson at this hands-on camp designed for K–4th graders! Scavenger Hunt and Orienteering (Grades 1st-8th)

What's more fun than a scavenger hunt? Campers will create and participate in a variety of themed scavenger hunts that encourage critical thinking and problem-solving. Campers will learn compass basics and apply that knowledge to navigate around our beautiful campus and hunt for landmarks.

Fun with Pollies, Dollies, and Barbies (Grades JK-4th)

Where imagination takes center stage and big stories come from little worlds. This playful camp is perfect for kids who love dolls, Polly Pockets, and Barbies. Campers will dive into imaginative play, creating characters, homes, and storylines while playing together in a fun, friendly environment. We will mix free play with guided activities, including building mini scenes, crafting accessories, and acting out creative adventures with friends. Personal dolls, Polly Pockets, and Barbies are welcome to join!

The Science of Art (Grades 2nd-4th)

This camp will be all about exploring the relationship between art and science. Each day, campers will do a hands-on science experiment followed by an art project related to a specific topic. One example includes making microscope slides to see plant stomata in leaves, then crafting a Henri Matisse scissor painting of leaves. Activities involving stars, telescopes, physics, chemistry, electricity, etc., will be featured. Camp fee includes all art and science experiment supplies. Please be prepared to get messy and dress accordingly!
