Lower School PE Teacher

KCD has an opening for a PE teacher in its lower school for the 2026–27 school year. The ideal candidate embraces lower school education and has experience teaching physical education in an engaging manner. The position requires energy, optimism, and a passion for teaching lower school students. 
 
The priorities for the lower school include forging positive relationships with students and colleagues; crafting PE lessons that are developmentally appropriate, honor the wide range of developmental needs exhibited by young children, and nurture the physical and emotional needs of elementary-aged students; contributing to a positive school culture; and strengthening our team by capitalizing on teamwork with other members of the PE department. KCD PE faculty members are also expected to coach athletic teams at either the upper school or middle school level.  
 
A degree in physical education or a related field is required. Teaching experience of three years or more is preferred. Cover letter, resume, and statement of educational philosophy should be sent to personnel@kcd.org. Preferred application deadline is January 23, 2026.
