Upper School Ceramics Teacher

Kentucky Country Day School has an opening for a ceramics teacher in its upper school for the 2026-2027 school year. Desired candidates will be passionate about educating upper school students from novice to studio levels, and specifically educating them to be both artists and appreciators of art. The desired candidates will be enthusiastic creators of and participants in interdisciplinary projects, including STEAM. Collegiality, flexibility, humor, and empathy are vital aspects of teaching visual arts at KCD. Desired candidates will have also demonstrated the ability to budget for and purchase supplies across a varied curriculum. The ceramics teacher will join a group of visual art teachers who are working artists, as well as join a dedicated Upper School team.
 
Qualifications:
  • Prefer 2+ years of teaching experience with high school students
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Art
