Congratulations to the Class of 2026!

Kentucky Country Day School’s 54th Annual Commencement Exercises were held at the Brown Theatre in Louisville, Kentucky, on Saturday, May 23, 2026. Graduating seniors received diplomas marking the completion of their academic career at KCD. Congratulations to our 89 newest members of the KCD Alumni Association!
The program featured thoughtful and witty remarks from senior class representatives Jackson Easley and Celia Kuffner, a beautiful address from Valedictorian Grace Shen, and an inspiring message from faculty commencement speaker Mr. Reed Cohen ’11, who was chosen to speak by vote of the senior class.

Before the conferring of diplomas, additional awards were presented to seniors. KCD Board Chair, Mr. Chris Brice, presented the Chair’s Award—an award given to seniors who have shown marked development in academic interest, concern for the school, and moral leadership. This year’s recipients were Emily Barnes, Jackson Easley, Ceci Flowers, and Rocco Huffman.

Head of School Deena Carey presented the Headmaster’s Award—an award that is given to the seniors who best exemplify the standards, attitude, and scholarship of Kentucky Country Day School. This year’s recipients were Henry Enck and Ann Zhao.

Thank you to all our graduation speakers and organizers for making this such a special day for the Class of 2026 and the greater KCD community. Once a Bearcat, always a Bearcat!
