Head Middle School Baseball Coach

Kentucky Country Day School is seeking a dedicated, experienced, and relationship-driven Head Middle School Baseball Coach to lead and develop our middle school baseball program.

This position requires a knowledgeable coach who is committed to building a positive, competitive, and development-focused culture rooted in effort, accountability, sportsmanship, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will prioritize the growth of student-athletes both on and off the field, emphasizing skill development, character, integrity, teamwork, and a love for the game.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage all aspects of the middle school baseball program
  • Create a positive team culture that promotes effort, discipline, sportsmanship, and pride
  • Develop players' fundamental baseball skills while fostering a strong understanding of the game
  • Plan and conduct practices and prepare the team for games and competition
  • Build meaningful relationships with student-athletes and families through consistent communication and collaboration
  • Emphasize individual player development, teamwork, and confidence while creating an enjoyable and competitive experience
  • Collaborate with the varsity coaching staff to support a consistent philosophy and a strong baseball program across all levels
  • Model and reinforce the values and mission of Kentucky Country Day School
Qualifications:
  • Prior baseball coaching experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of baseball fundamentals, strategy, and player development
  • Ability to teach and motivate middle school student-athletes with varying levels of experience
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to creating a culture centered on accountability, respect, sportsmanship, and teamwork
  • A passion for mentoring young athletes and building positive relationships with students and families
  • Availability for afternoon practices and games
