Custodial Team Member

Kentucky Country Day School has an immediate need for dedicated and detail-oriented Custodial Team Member(s). The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in a designated area on campus, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all visitors and staff. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This is a full-time, year-round position.


Essential Functions of the Job:
  • Cleaning restrooms including sinks, toilets, floors, mirrors, and stalls.
  • Assist with cleaning the cafeteria, emptying garbage cans, mopping floors, etc.
  • Cleaning a pre-determined area of the building,
  • Deliver packages within the campus.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Provide porter services when necessary, including moving furniture or equipment as needed for events or maintenance activities.
  • Additional duties as deemed necessary by the Supervisor.

Qualifications:
  • Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred; experience in commercial cleaning is a plus.
  • Attention to detail and conscientiousness.
  • Dependability and commitment.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to move easily and quickly around campus.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively around faculty/teachers and students.
