Bearcat community donates more than 250 pairs of shoes to WaterStep
The Bearcat community stepped up in a big way during a school-wide shoe drive held May 4–8, donating more than 250 pairs of shoes—weighing a combined 296 pounds—to benefit WaterStep.
The donated footwear will help support the organization’s global clean water initiatives, extending the impact of the school’s efforts far beyond campus. WaterStep uses shoe donations to help fund programs that provide access to safe drinking water and sanitation solutions in communities around the world.
Thank you to the Middle School Community Service Club, which organized and led the drive as part of its ongoing commitment to service throughout the school year. Students involved in the club have coordinated multiple donation initiatives aimed at helping people locally and globally.
