Middle School Governor’s Cup competes at District Championship
On Saturday, January 17, the Middle School Governor’s Cup competed at the district competition hosted by St. Mary’s Academy.
Led by Coach Timothy Coughlan, KCD had the most student medalists at the competition, completing content assessments in math, science, social studies, language arts, and arts and humanities.
The Bearcats had a strong start in the Quick Recall portion of the competition, earning wins in their first two matches against Francis Parker and North Oldham. The team finished 3rd overall.
Congratulations to these individual students on their excellent performances in the Content Assessment portion of the competition:
Lucas Naughton ’30 placed 1st in math
Eva Zou ’31 placed 2nd in math and 5th in science
Eli Martin ’30 placed 2nd in social studies
Asher Gallagher ’30 placed 3rd in social studies
Eli Irving ’31 placed 3rd in arts and humanities
Nico Galvis-Castro ’31 placed 5th in arts and humanities
