‘Newsweek’ and name KCD one of U.S.’s top 500 STEM schools

We’re proud to announce that Newsweek and have named KCD’s Frazier Upper School as one of the top 500 STEM schools in the nation. Newsweek and evaluated 30,000 high schools across the country, identifying schools “that offer skilled teachers who keep up with developments in [STEM] fields and who create dynamic learning environments to engage their students.”
KCD’s curriculum puts the A in STEAM by integrating art & design into the traditional STEM fields of science, technology, engineering, and math. Our STEAM curriculum is supported by the KCD Design and Fabrication Laboratory—a hands-on workspace where students take an active role in designing and creating projects. KCD’s Design and Fabrication Lab goes far beyond 3D printers to offer a wide variety of shop and machine tools, a screen printing press, and tools for casting jewelry, making clothing, designing circuits, and building robots.
