Admission Timeline

Grades JK/K, Early Decision Deadlines

• Application Deadline, Early Decision: December 18, 2025
• Visit Day: In December or January, Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten applicants will attend a group visit. We will gather a small group of prospective students, along with KCD teachers, for cooperative play, story time, and a brief individual assessment. The Admission Office will contact your family to schedule the student visit.
• Teacher Recommendation Form: Due by January 8, 2026
• Written Notification of Admission Committee decisions on February 6, 2026

Grades 1‒12, Early Decision Deadlines

• Online Application Deadline, Early Decision: December 18, 2025
• Prospective students should shadow by December 18, 2025
• Families applying for tuition assistance, must do so by December 18, 2025. The FACTS tuition assistance portal opens on October 20, 2025 at this link. Please note that majority of financial aid is allocated in the early decision round of admission.
• All applications for KCD Scholarships must be received by January 8, 2026. To be eligible for a KCD Scholarship, the applicant must have completed a KCD online admission application and must take KCD’s Admission exam on Saturday, January 10, 2026. The KCD Scholarship portal opens on October 20, 2025.
• Teacher Recommendation Form(s): Due January 8, 2026
• School Transcript Form(s): Due January 8, 2026
• Families will receive written notification of admittance and if applicable, awarded tuition assistance on February 6, 2026.

Grades JK/K, Rolling Admission

• Submit Application after December 18, 2025
• Developmental Screening, by appointment
• Teacher Recommendation Form: Must be returned before application is considered complete
• Written notification of Admission Committee decision after file is complete

Grades 1-12, Rolling Admission

• Submit Application after December 18, 2025
• Complete admission testing, by appointment
• Teacher Recommendation Form(s): Must be returned before application is considered complete
• Transcripts: Must be returned before application is considered complete
• Written notification of Admission Committee decision after file is complete
