Games Galore (Grades JK-4th)

Join Coach Vertrees for a variety of games including dodgeball, bowling, corn hole, gaga ball, and capture the flag. We'll have water balloon battles and set up an obstacle course to play our own version of Gladiator Challenge. Campers need to dress comfortably for play and wear tennis shoes. A daily snack will be provided.

All things watercolor! (Grades 4th-8th)

Let's create art through painting with watercolors! We will learn and practice: color theory, water control, fun techniques to add texture, etc., best supplies to get great results with your artwork, and so much more! Students will also experience a guided meditative creativity session! This session begins with a very short breathing exercise then transition into guided prompts to explore their own inner creativity. We will conclude on Friday with students painting their own creative work that will be matted and ready to be framed!

Lego Camp (Grades JK-4th)

Join Kindergarten teacher, Adam Wilkinson, for this dynamic session of lego building challenges. Each day there will be a new set of parameters for building—sometimes in teams, sometimes solo—to design and build with bricks. Examples of challenges are "The Tallest Building in Ten Minutes," "Robots Reimagined," and "Super Duper Spaceships." If you are a builder this class is for you!

Women's Self Defense (Grades 7th-12th)

You can never be too safe, so come and learn self defense techniques with Mrs. Herman, a certified self defense instructor through Gracie Jiu Jujitsu. We will cover skills to help avoid and escape the most common attacks on women. While this class focuses on self defense techniques, you will learn so much more during our time together. No experience necessary!

Woodworking Camp (Grades 5th-9th)

A woodworking course for any experience/skill-level. Students will choose a small project to make from wood using both hand tools and power tools. At the end of the week, students will bring home their finished project. Fee includes all materials needed. Wear closed-toe shoes and clothes you can paint in.

Bearcat Explorers (Grades JK-8th)

Calling all explorers! Join Coach Sample for a week of exploring our beautiful 80+ acre campus here at KCD! Each day we will explore campus while enjoying the beautiful summer weather. In an event of inclement weather, we will be inside in a Lower School Classroom. Please bring a water bottle, tennis shoes, and a snack to camp each day.
