A400: Early Care

We will play in the gym and get your child off to their camp at 9:00 am. Drop-off will be at the gymnasium entrance (on the middle school side of the building).

A401: E-Sports!

Come and learn the ins and outs of Kentucky's newest sanctioned sport: ESPORTS! Yes, that's right, video games are a sanctioned athletic event and we've got the info and experience you need to participate at the high school level and set yourself up for college scholarship opportunities. Learn Rocket League and League of Legends in a fun, friendly environment and end the week with a tournament--GLHF!

Bring a re-usable water bottle, mouse/pad or game controller, and your own laptop or desktop (you can store it at KCD that week) with the following specifications: Mac OS X 10.8.5 or newer; Processor: 2 GHz (supporting SSE2 instruction set or higher); Memory: 2 GB RAM (4GB is strongly recommended); Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT / ATI Radeon HD 2600 or better, screen resolutions up to 1920x1200; Storage: 20 GB available disk space. A402: Darkroom Photography

Students will learn to use a 35mm camera to correctly compose, expose, shoot and develop film. The film will then be used to make black and white prints in the KCD darkroom. Finished work will then be mounted on mat board and be ready for framing. All materials are supplied for this class. Optional: Bring a snack and/or drink for a mid-class break.

A403: Dinosaur Camp

T-Rex? Velociraptor? Triceratops? What's your favorite dinosaur? Campers will learn about dinosaurs, paint their own dinosaur shirt, and enjoy delicious dino treats. Campers may bring their own dinosaur toys and we will include them in our weeks' worth of dinosaur play. Join us for a "roaring" good time!

A404: Messy Fun

Do you enjoy getting a little messy when you play? Then this is the camp for you! We'll make glow in the dark slime and paint with shaving cream. We'll also make our own snacks, including tie-dyed cupcakes and "worms in dirt." We hope you'll join us for this wonderful week of messiness!

Welcome to the Anything and Everything Camp. The week will be filled with a variety of activities: painting, treasure hunts, board games, STEAM projects, science experiments, storytelling, and much much more. Not two days alike. Bring your creativity, sense of fun, and willingness to try new things. All fees included.

A406: Electronic Music

Lay down some BEATS and turn some knobs!!! In this fun, musical adventure we will learn about how various musical technologies like DRUM MACHINES, SAMPLERS, AND SYNTHESIZERS work to create music. We will use both hardware and software and students will get hands-on experience learning about and using the different types of technologies. No prior musical experience needed! \

Come and play cooperatively to achieve badges with your friends in one of the most popular peer to peer games out there. The camp will promote appropriate online behavior as well as team concepts to help build your rank.
