A101: Bearcat F.C. for Boys and Girls! (Grades JK-4th)

Join Coach Pollitt (USSF C License) for an AWESOME week of the best sport on the planet, FUTBOL! We will ALWAYS have a ball at our feet and a smile on our face! We’ll focus on ball handling, inside of the foot pass, instep drive, receiving/trapping, shooting/finishing, and game situations. These skills will be incorporated into small-sided games and activities in order to maximize FUN and touches on the ball. We will have treats at the end of each day for hard workers, and our KCD middle school players will come and play with us, too!

A102: MS Maker Camp Grades (Grades 6th-8th)

Summer is a great time for making, hacking, building, and experimenting. In KCD’s FabLab we desire to inspire kids to embrace their inner maker, to get their hands dirty, to create things, to break things, and have a lot of fun doing it. Join us in KCD’s FabLab and learn by doing in camps designed to employ the latest DIY fabrication tools (3D printers, laser cutter, and a CNC mill- as well as good old fashioned hand tools) in order create projects embracing the fundamentals of design, iteration, computer programming, electronics, engineering, and art. Potential projects include a 3D printed fidgets, modular deer head, engraved finger box, t-shirt designs, stickers, led laser cut icosahedron and much more.

A103: Camp Zootopia (Grades K-4th)

Come learn about all kinds of animals with us! We will learn about animals and their habitats through STEAM activities, crafts, and games. A themed snack will be provided each day. Please wear comfortable clothes and athletic shoes, we will be outside playing a lot!

A104: S.M.ART Kids Camp (Grades 4th-6th)

This camp explores the connections among art and the STEM fields. Each day will be spent learning a science concept and designing an art project around it. Examples are (but not limited to): learning about the DENSITY of liquids, then creating a painting out of oils and water using toothpicks as a tool, and investigating STOMATA of plants by making own own microscope slides with leaves, then connecting it to Henri Matisse's scissor painting to make our own!

A105: Girls Basketball (Grades Entering K-8th)

The KCD Girls Basketball Camp is designed to assist elementary and middle school players in the development of their basketball skills. The camp will center on the individual, small group, and team instruction. The KCD Basketball Camp Staff will assist camp players in learning and developing ball handling skills, basketball fundamentals, and team strategies. A basic overview of basketball rules and their effect on team play will be discussed by the coaching staff during camp. The campers will learn a lot and have fun too!

A106: Bearkitten Field Hockey (Grades K-7th)

This camp will be for kids wanting to have a fun week learning more about field hockey, whether they are beginners or have played for several years. They will need to bring their own stick and wear shin guards.

A107: Knots and Knits (Grades 5th-6th)

Have you ever wanted to learn how to make a soft, comfy blanket or a cozy scarf? This camp will teach young ones how to knit blankets using chunky and colorful yarn for themselves and others. We will also use needles and yarn to knit simple scarves and doll blankets.

A108: Fitness for Life (Grades 4th-8th)

Are you looking to get in shape for the summer? Join Ms. Carroll's "Fitness For Life" camp! With her background in Exercise Science and Nutrition, you will learn to form a healthy relationship with food and exercise. From learning how to read food labels, becoming an expert in the kitchen making tasty summer treats, and participating in outdoor activities, you will acquire healthy habits that will last a lifetime. Learn new ways to keep fit, like weight-lifting, yoga, group games, and even double dutch jumping rope! Fees include daily healthy snacks. Please wear exercise clothing and tennis shoes. Bring water.

A109: KCD Football Camp of Champions (Grades Entering 1st-8th)

This camp is entering its 18th year as part of our Summer Stretch and has always been a great and fun experience for all of the young men involved. Your athletes need to bring cleats and a water bottle is optional, and we will provide plenty of snacks, Gatorade, and water for all of the campers. Please plan to drop off between 8:40 and 8:55am in the rear of the school at our football stadium and pick up at 12pm at the same location. The first part of the day at camp will feature skills and drills for offense and defense and we will play games and have skills competitions at the end of the camp. The non contact drills and skills will be taught by our Varsity Football staff and will be focused on having fun and learning the basics of the great game of football. All campers will learn to throw and catch properly, while working on their agility in a variety of ways. Any and all of you are welcome to come out to watch all or part of the camp and I really look forward to meeting those of you that I do not know yet in person.
