A100: Early Care

We will play in the gym and get your child off to their camp at 9:00 am. Drop-off will be at the gymnasium entrance (on the middle school side of the building).

A101: Bearcat Sports Academy

Bearcat Sports Academy (BSA) is a 5th-8th grade, 4-day, sports camp focused on preparing middle-school-aged campers to participate in middle school athletics. Campers will spend a majority of their time in sport-specific training, focusing on their chosen sport. Campers will also receive daily sports-general conditioning from a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach as well as motivational and inspirational guest speakers to round out their week.

Campers should bring a brown-bag lunch and any sports specific equipment needed for the week.

*Participation in Bearcat Sports Academy or other activities does not guarantee playing time or team placement for KCD teams.

A102: Makey-Makey Camp

Have you heard of Makey-Makey? They are the technology behind the banana piano! These devices can be used to make cool interactive displays that play music, control video games and so much more. Join us for fun using these cool little controllers and let's get creative! Fee includes supplies.

A103: El Mundo de Animales (The World of Animals)

We will 'visit' a different part of the world each day! We will learn about each place and the animals that live there. We will also learn the names and descriptions of animals in Spanish. It will be a fun week of crafting, playing, and singing in Spanish and English!

A104: ACT Bootcamp

This will be an intensive ACT camp that will cover Reading, English, Math, and Science topics on the ACT that will prepare students for the upcoming June 13th and/or July 18th ACT. Students will learn strategies, tips, and tricks to improve their score quickly. Former KCD teacher Joel Morris has helped more than 2,000 students on the ACT and has studied every published ACT since 1996 and will use that knowledge to help students achieve.

A105: Mindful Meditation/Stress Reduction/Goal Setting

Participants will engage in a variety of activities to help with the stress and anxiety that can be connected to the pressures of high school and teenage life. Activities will include meditation, creative visualization, relaxation, breathing techniques and yoga. Ultimately, workshop participants will become more focused and aware in the present moment, as well as becoming clear that good habits translate into excellent results! This will be a fun and creative way to become better goal setters and achievers.

A106: Cheerleading Camp

Come join Kathie Purdie and Sarah Cohen for a fun filled week of Cheer Camp! We will learn cheers, stretching, a new dance, and safe stunts. Please dress comfortably and bring a water bottle to camp each day. A daily snack will be provided. So, get ready to jump, twist, shout, and twirl for Bearcat Cheer Camp!

A107: STEAM Camp

Learn some cool science tricks and things to make and share with your family! Campers will have some cool science fun and make their own projects to take home. We will play with snow in the summer, make some slime string, slime art, and much more! There will be some cool creative outlets in this camp. Fee includes camp supplies.
