Meeting mostly on Saturdays throughout the summer, the courses will offer in-person, interactive classroom instruction (12 hours verbal and 24 hours quantitative) accompanied by supervised study (6 hours verbal and 12 hours quantitative). Additional individual practice (about 24 hours verbal and 48 hours quantitative) will be required between meetings. The courses will cover:
- methods for approaching the various question types,
- tips, tricks, and patterns, and
- review of all tested verbal and math content.
The content will be fully relevant to both the SAT and ACT tests, and the schedule will be timed to optimally prepare students to take the SAT in late August and the ACT in early September. (The course will not cover the Science section of the ACT; contact Coach Rodgers if interested in a short supplement to address that material.)
Both courses will require the same 4 books available on Amazon or at Barnes & Noble for about $100 total (not included in the course fee).
