A101: KCD Field Hockey Camp (1st-8th)

The KCD Field Hockey Camp is designed to assist elementary and middle school players in the development of their field hockey skills. The camp will center on individual, small group, and team instruction. The KCD Field Hockey Camp Staff will assist camp players in learning and developing stick skills, field hockey fundamentals, and team strategies. The campers will learn a lot and have fun too! ☺ Equipment Required: Players are required to furnish their own mouth guard, shin guards, and water bottle. Players are encouraged to bring their own stick, goggles and wear cleats, though sneakers are allowed. (KCD does have extra sticks and some gogggles for those who need to borrow a stick). p.s. If you are a goalie, you need to provide your own equipment. KCD does have extra equipment, but the staff needs to see if it is available and fits properly. A102: KCD Football Camp of Champions (1st-8th)

This camp is entering its 16th year as part of our Summer Stretch and has always been a great and fun experience for all of the young men involved. Your athletes need to bring cleats and a water bottle is optional, and we will provide plenty of snacks, Gatorade, and water for all of the campers. Please plan to drop off between 8:40 and 8:55am in the rear of the school at our football stadium and pick up at 12pm at the same location. The first part of the day at camp will feature skills and drills for offense and defense and we will play games and have skills competitions at the end of the camp. The non contact drills and skills will be taught by our Varsity Football staff and will be focused on having fun and learning the basics of the great game of football. All campers will learn to throw and catch properly, while working on their agility in a variety of ways. Any and all of you are welcome to come out to watch all or part of the camp and I really look forward to meeting those of you that I do not know yet in person. Do you love Harry Potter? Join "Professor" Rawlings for a week of magical fun. Campers will experience all the fun of attending Hogwarts, including potions class, hunting for horcruxes, and playing quidditch! Fee includes all supplies for wand making and a house t-shirts. Bring your imagination!

A107: Camp Zootopia: A STEAM Animal Adventure (K-4th)

Explore information about zoo animals and their habitats. Create STEAM projects and animal crafts daily. All of the fun will culminate with a trip to the Zoo on Friday! Students will be provided with an animal theme snack each day. Fridays camp session requires campers to be dropped off at the Louisville Zoo at 9:30 am and picked up by 12:30 pm.

A108: June ACT Bootcamp (9th-12th)

This ACT boot camp will cover strategies for English, Reading, Math, and Science sections of the ACT and will be focused on a last minute prep for the June 9th ACT. Mr. Morris has been SAT/ACT Instructor for Princeton Review and has worked with more than a 1000 students on test prep over the past 15 years. The class fee includes an ACT prep book as well. Students should bring paper, pencil, calculator, and notebook each day.

A110: Gear Up for Algebra II (10th-12th)

This camp will help students prepare to succeed in Algebra 2. Many of our students take Geometry between Algebra 1 and 2, and benefit from the chance to refresh algebraic concepts and learn new ones. We will discuss topics that students will encounter in the first half of the school year, giving them a head start in their mastery. Students should bring a folder or binder to hold handouts, pencils and paper, and a graphing calculator.

A111: All About Slime! (K-4)

The Slime craze is still going strong. Did you know making slime is an educational activity? Join us as we go slime crazy all week long. Campers will make many different varieties of slime such as glitter, glow-in-the-dark, fluffy, rainbow and galaxy, as well as some slime crafts! (We will not be using Borax in our slime recipes!) If your child has got the Slime bug, let them come make a different slime each day! Camp fee includes all supplies for our crafts and slime.
