Cross country teams finish season with outstanding state meet performances

On November 3, the KCD boys and girls cross country teams competed in the Class A state cross country championships at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington. The Bearcats represented well against the best competition in Kentucky with the boys finishing 18th overall and the girls team finishing 8th overall.
The girls team had two athletes on the stage for medals: Rachel Thebert ran a 20:34 for a 9th place finish, and Haley Schoenegge ran a 20:46, finishing 13th overall. Ben Clift was the top performer for the boys and also earned a medal, turning in a 15th place finish with a time of 17:17. Congratulations to coach Bobby Copley and the Bearcat cross country teams on another outstanding season! (Thanks to Jennifer Schoenegge for the photo.)
